Abstract

In questo articolo illustreremo come installare la funzionalità NetFx3 nel sistema operativo Windows Server 2012 (R2).

Scenario

L’installazione di SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 su Windows Server 2012 (R2), richiede l’abilitazione della funzionalità di Windows NetFx3 ovvero .NET Framework 3.5. Qualora tale funzionalità non sia installata e abilitata, il setup di SQL Server 2012 terminerà con l’errore illustrato in figura 1 ovvero “Error while enabling Windows features: NetFx3”.

Visto il successo che hanno avuto le tappe di Milano e Catania dei Community Days 2013, dal 24 al 26 Settembre 2013 questo grande evento community farà tappa anche a Roma!

Tra le attività più importanti sotto la responsabilità del DBA c’è il controllo dei backup e la preparazione del piano di recovery. In questo eBook, Shawn McGehee spiega come costruire un piano di recovery efficiente perché, dopo aver scoperto che un database è danneggiato oppure che alcuni dati sono stati persi, non c’è notizia peggiore di quella che ci annuncia che non li possiamo recuperare perché non c’è un backup valido! Non basta fare il backup, bisogna verificare che sia possibile effettuare anche il restore!

I due speaker: Erin Stellato (nei panni del software vendor) e Mike Walsh (nei panni del DBA) hanno dato vita ad una sessione interattiva che vi farà comprendere come sia possibile migliorare il rapporto tra DBA e software vendor.

Ready to take the next step in your career? Ready to build a plan that will get you there? This session will show you a process for building a comprehensive professional development plan - a road map to get to where you want to go! This session is designed to help you build a professional development plan using the same techniques that are used for building business plans. We’ll talk about obtaining and managing resources, setting realistic goals, tracking progress, and what to do when you get off plan. We’re going to look at more than pure technical learning. We’ll discuss how and when to modify your plan to include networking, writing, social engagement, and managing and leadership skills - and talk about the most effective ways to do it. We’ll touch lightly on the value of a mentor and ways to find a good mentor. We will also discuss changing how you look at your career, adopting the mindset of the consultant even if you prefer to retain your status as an employee. It’s not an easy change, but it’s a powerful one, and that is an important component of a professional development plan. At the end of this session you should be ready to spend a day building a plan that will help you move your career forward to a goal that you’ve selected.
